--Warning Contains Character Death--
He’s dead, The Earl of Millennium is finally dead. Robin didn’t need to be on the field of battle to know that the fiend who had made her into this monster had finally perished, and she knew all the other who suffered as she felt it too. She never thought she’d be so happy to know of the death of another, but the Earl had caused so much death, such extensive tragedy, it was good for him to finally be gone. Finally, eternally, gone.
She would be free now, free at last. She and all her fellows would be free. Free of the suffering, free of the pain, free of the torment of being forced to kill others in a mad race for more and more monstrous power. They would all be sent back where they came from, and she would likely follow.
But it was all over now, no more need for fighting, no need for Noah, or Exorcists, or Innocence. The Order’s experiments would end, the exorcists would no longer need worry of being offed by a Noah. All of that had ended now.
Finally, finally the war was over, and even thought she didn’t play the part she wished, she was glad to be where she was now. Safely by the side of the man who had pulled her from the darkness, the one who made her a person once more. She was happy by his side, she felt wanted, loved, and needed. Those were the things she had always longed for, and she had them at last.
"He’s finally dead." She breathed, feeling a comforting, peaceful warmth developing inside her, small tears falling down her cheeks. "No more fighting, right Master?" She cast a glance up at the read headed man, head leaning against his arm. He wasn’t in the best of shapes, all that magic he used had finally caught up to him, and now he sat dying in his patron’s house.
She closed her eyes as that warmth spread further, soaking into her bones. Her eyes closed slowly, hand curling around Cross’s. “I feel, so warm.” She muttered, a soft smile on her lips. This was a warmth unlike anything she had ever known, it started so small that she almost didn’t notice it, but then it spread throughout her, like the heat of a fire. But it was nothing like a fire, there was no pain with it, only comfort.
She let out a small sigh, nuzzling against her master’s sleeve as the tears continued to fall. It was then that a final wave of warmth over took her, so much stronger than it was before. It consumed her entirely, enveloping her whole body in its embrace.
She felt suddenly oh so light, like a feather, or the first rays of sun in the beginning of the spring. Her whole body turned a shade of soft white, a peaceful color, gentle an innocent in its hue. In that moment she drew a final breath, the words “Goodbye, Master..” leaving her with her final tear.
She sat still for a few short moments before tiny cracks began to appear on her pastel skin, covering her in a fine pattern of lines like those on the surface of and old painting. A soft breeze whispered past the pair, and the girl’s body began to crumble, tiny pieces falling away before her form collapsed in its entirety, forming a pile of dust at her Master’s side. A breeze blew once more, gently carrying her ashes skyward.
"I’m going home."
